I’m Jenny, a married working mother.  My boy is Watson. He was born April 21st, 2011.  I’m married to Greg who owns his own bike shop.  I work for an environmental lab. I’m hoping that other families going through similar situations can somehow benefit or learn from my experience.  And please forgive my grammatical errors.

    Hi Jenny,

Thank you so very much for creating this website. My 6 month old baby girl was diagnosed 4 months ago with SVASD and Pulmonary Stenosis. It’s been absolutely terrifying for us. At this point we are looking at surgery when she is 3 – 4 years old, but of course praying for a miracle in the meantime. I read your story and you had me in tears! What a beautiful little boy you have. I would love to hear how he is doing now!

    Best wishes,
    Vannessa

    Vannessa,
Thanks for responding. It’s nice to hear that someone appreciates what I have put “out there”. Watson is doing great right now. It’s been over 5 months since his surgery and you would have no idea what all he’s been through. He acts as if nothing ever happened and the only outward sign of his surgery is his little scar. All his check ups show everything looks normal and I’m thrilled to have this big hurtle behind us. I would love to hear more about your little girl and answer any questions you may have.

P.S. I just bought this book and I have to share it with you.

Yes, Watson is doing great right now. He just turned 3 years old. His scar has almost faded away. It’s pretty unbelievable now.
I hope all goes well with your daughter. Thank you for reaching out. I’m so glad to have helped.
